The Mardukite Epic of Creation — the Enuma Elis — illustrates a unique perspective, spiritually speaking: as already fragmented beings, the Anunna (or Anunnaki) knew of the true nature of reality and used it to their advantage politically (religiously) when dealing with humans…

Instead of a practical cosmogenetic message, we are given a political account of MARDUK slaying the serpent or dragon (representative of the ‘overcoming of chaos’ in the universe, meaning: a universal or world order) in the tradition (literary styling) of pre-Babylonian (Sumerian) use of the kur in mythology. By performing this feat or conquest, MARDUK becomes self-proclaimed King of the Anunnaki, although the tablet renderings explain that the title was bestowed upon him as a reward for the dragon-slaying feat. In doing this, even if only symbolically and in consciousness, the Mardukite forces are given Divine Right to exercise the powers of the Anunnaki on Earth – thus beginning the Babylonian legacy to occult Sumerian religion in Mesopotamia. The Enuma Elis forms the cornerstone of Mardukite usurpation of the Sumerian Anunnaki hierarchy. The work also illustrates a distinction between the ancient era and older generations who existed prior to the formation of the priesthood (a race some call the Ancient Ones; led by the primordial dragon, TIAMAT) and the Elder Gods (Anunna) of prehistorical renown, who were acknowledged within the Babylonian pantheon under MARDUK [including Enlilites; NANNA, INANNA-ISHTAR, SHAMMASH (SAMAS) and NERGAL.]
In Eridu, MARDUK is actually not attributed among the Anunnaki gods – not listed among the pantheon – by Sumerian standards. In fact, MARDUK is initially the primary high-ranked leader of IGIGI (Watchers), setting a status quo in Eridu – and then in Babylon – concerning the intermarriage between Anunnaki with humans (as described on the ancient cuneiform tablets). For this ‘indiscretion’, by Enlilite ‘World Order‘ he was denied his Divine Right, but his argument remained that it was never going to be given to him anyway and that MARDUK’S chosen consort, SARPANIT, mother of NABU, was actually of royal blood by ENKI (being a seventh generation descendent of Adapa, a hybrid born of direct genetics from ENKI).
The Enuma Elis is named after its opening lines in Babylo-Akkadian, translated to mean: “When in the heights…” This series is better known among scholars and seekers alike as the ‘Babylonian Epic of Creation‘ or ‘Seven Tablets of Creation‘, which are in fact too often misrepresented as “Sumerian.” As religio-political propaganda, the Enuma Elis is a significant ‘document’, which historians and biblical scholars also note to be the base origins of the Judeo-Christian Genesis, is similar to the “Donation of Constantine” (a famous religio-political ‘forgery’ used to gain power) responsible for the Catholic Church of the Vatican in attaining Divine Right on Earth and the worldly means (from the Romans) to execute it. Following a dramatically unsuccessful campaign earlier in Sumerian history c. 3650 B.C. – an archetype in human consciousness called the ‘Tower of Babel’ incident – the Enuma Elis program is officially installed c. 2150 B.C. by the Mardukite Nabu-Priests in Babylon (Borsippa).
Archaeologists first became away of this particular series in 1849 when cuneiform tablets were recovered from an expedition into the ‘Royal Library of Ashurbanipal‘ in ‘Nineveh’. Contents of the tablets were first published academically in 1876 and received significant attention by historians, mythographers and biblical scholars – not only because of their antiquity, but because of how significant the work turned out to be in deciphering the ‘methodology’ of Babylonian civilization and religion in addition to its high resonance with our contemporary and ‘classical’ “Epic of Creation” given in the Judeo-Christian Book of Genesis.
Although the text of the ‘Enuma Elis’, appears in the original Year-1 cycle of Mardukite work, the cycle is more closely analyzed in the Year-3 cycle discourse, NECRONOMICON SPELLBOOK I, wherein it explains how multiple versions of ‘Mesopotamian-originating’ tablets exist – but there is one key point that many esoteric practitioners and historians miss when appropriating what ‘purpose’ the tablets have within the ‘greater’ tradition – the ‘bigger’ world picture.
For example, all tablet-cycles that make reference to “MARDUK” are purely Babylonian or a direct influence thereof – meaning that they are born of the post-Sumerian Anunnaki tradition that surrounded another key element – the usurpation and transfer of “power” in Mesopotamia to Babylon, the control of the empire by the priest-magicians and dragon-kings there residing as well as authority in the religious and spiritual systems of the people and their relationship with the “Sky Gods” (Anunnaki) – all shown to be executed by “Divine Right” and in accordance with the “World Order” decreed by ANU, ENLIL and ENKI in prehistoric times… (excerpting Gates)
…for Mardukites, the Enuma Elis made this all possible for their own elevation of MARDUK and the development of Babylon as the earthly seat of godly power!
