When I was preparing “The Vampyre’s Bible” for publication two years ago, a friend had asked: “What is the difference between immortal and mortal, and how can anyone claim to be immortal in a human body?” I admit that the query caught me off guard as I had never given the semantic matter much thought before. No mention of this appeared in available “New Age” literature. So, I gave the best answer I could then: “Generally, it is assumed that if you’re dead, you’re dead; and if you rise again, you’re Undead; and if you cannot be destroyed or corporeally perish, you’re immortal.” That’s basically it, isn’t it?
I wasn’t actually satisfied with my answer. I spent time later thinking over this problem as I compiled notebooks for “The Vampyre’s Bible” and the “Cybernomicon.” It wasn’t just a semantic issue—it was a real one. What is it that can make a person in a human shell become transhuman in this lifetime without technology? Is it possible for us to program or reprogram our own cells and DNA—and if so, can it be executed using only the mind? Does another existence even await us after this lifetime—and if so, can Ascension of the Self actually happen from this existence? Or, have we all just been wasting our time?
Then, in a single moment of flash realization, I understood:
To be “immortal” and Undead are the same condition, differing vocabulary. Both mean: “not dead,” which is curious because all we are talking about is “death” and the “dead.” The term “immortal” has another quality to it. It implies consciousness that is “not human,” meaning transhuman. This means that semantically, “human” is a condition and not a species or race. It is an epidemic disease affecting 90% of the population.
To be Immortal—as the Living Vampyre—is to exist and experience life from a central point of Awareness beyond this body, called the ETHERIC BODY. This is exactly what the Egyptians referred to as the Body Double in their “Book of the Dead.” It has the ability to Live on after First Death, meaning after the “death” of the corporeal body. To accomplish this, energy is sent to a person’s ETHERIC BODY during this lifetime through conscious Will, Attention and Awareness.
The Eternal or Et(h)ernal Self is who We really are and what we really are preparing for when beyond this world. Hence, the modern name of Our ancient tradition is drawn from a Latin verse: ad vitam paramus, “We Are Preparing for Life,” meaning A Life Beyond This Life.
MORTALS on the other hand, are simply creatures that will die as a condition of the True Self, the Dragon within. Those who suffer from the human condition and cannot be “turned” or “Awakened” will find that their condition is terminal. Having focused all energy during Life on a corporeal body and existence of inert matter, all they know of and identify with will die. All energy within the physical body is used for only experiencing sensation. This physical body is corruptible, and so when they are preparing for First Death, they are really preparing for Final Death. Being “mortal” and self-aware of this fact, they try to rake in as much as they can from this material existence, because for them there is no other.
You might notice that there is a general theme growing here—that is all about Death and change and transformation and Lives after existing Lives… Of course, this is expected with a book about Vampyres, Undead and Creatures of Night—but, there is another reason why this material is being released at this later point of my publishing career and at the point I have reached in my own personal development. These lessons have been held back from my previous works on practical magick, Celtic Druid (Elven-Faerie) and Mardukite (Mesopotamian) revival.
When “Vampyres Bible” released in August 2015, it was announced that it would be my last book. As some readers are already aware, the “Cybernomicon” (May 2016) was an extension of the same work, simply pertaining to areas that did not seem “specific” enough to the “Vampyre Bible” to appear in that stand-alone title. The collected works from both now appear together for the first time in VAMPYRE MAGICK as intended. Two years since the first appearance of this work, it has remained my final contribution to the occult underground.

Mardukite Spokesman, NABU JOSHUA FREE and domestic partner CyberVamps DJ KYRA KAOS spent the entire Summer 2016 reconditioning the interior and exterior of the Mardukite RV to meet personal specifications for the Mardukite Office and the aqua blue hue appearance expected of a Marduk Temple.
During this reconstruction, citizens of Englewood Colorado and the EPD (Englewood Police Department) were less than tolerant of our work, in spite of our civic respectfulness. At one juncture, JOSHUA FREE was threatened by Englewood Police Department with imprisonment if the Marduk Temple were found on Englewood streets again. In spite of the posted signage indicating the work as a World Heritage Project, this fascist trend is expected to rise in Colorado as the influence of Denver’s Urban Camping Ban spreads.
Plans are still being developed for the NATIONAL MARDUKITE NEXGENCON scheduled for the August 2017 eclipse at Carhenge, Nebraska following a Wizards of the Wasteland spiritual retreat in the South Dakota Badlands. The Mardukite Nabu Gate & Temple of Marduk is expected to be the centralized icon of this event.
Further plans are in development for 2017 to acquire rural land designated as a NexGen Sanctuary for the future New Babylon Rising and of course, the Marduk Temple. The emphasis and purpose of this Sanctuary is to provide for the continued existence of Mardukite Chamberlains activities and survival of the Library of Nabu-Tutu archives for posterity.
